5by5 is an internet broadcasting and podcasting network started in 2009 by Dan Benjamin. As of May 2011 there are 16 shows and podcasts produced, hosted, or distributed by 5by5. Many of the shows are broadcast on a live schedule during recording in audio or video format, allowing viewers (and listeners) to participate live, interact and submit questions and comments by way of an IRC channel commonly referred to on the air as The Chatroom.

In addition to Benjamin and a bevy of hosts and guests, 5by5 is supported by number of regular and irregular crew members, who contribute their time and talent to making shows happen. Most shows are recorded in the 5by5 Studio and produced by Nice Marmot Productions, Benjamin's production company. Benjamin has been very open in the chatroom and on the podcast dedicated to the topic (The Mixdown) about the philosophy, process, and equipment behind 5by5.
